Snow Day

Well,,,it's friday ,, and it's a snow day !
The words we couldn't wait to hear as children,,,,,,,,as parents, not so much !
There's that whole LIST of things you were going to get done today ,,,,,,,well, that's not going to happen
and now what do you do ?
If your kids are like mine,,,,,, snow days make them very HUNGRY,,,,,,,we seem to go through all the food in the house
by 4 they'll be eating peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon !
of course they start with the ready made treats,,,,anything that resembles a cookie, then onto crackers, chips,
when we're wiped out they'll start looking for ingredients incase we can MAKE something
Today is an odd snow day since we don't have any actual SNOW yet !
So, they'll be bored. My Husband likes to remember being bored as a kid , it forced him to DO something .
Of course I remember never admitting to being bored as a kid,, if you said,, "i'm bored"....... your parents said
" I"ll give you something to do ! " ,,, and remember,, it wasn't a video game !! ,,,,, maybe the toilet brush and a can of comet :)

If you have any great ways to keep the kids occupied without making a HUGE mess,,,post it here
